That's my main concern. Good to hear it's not really your thing.

As for cops, I can admit that even to this day I get upset when I get profiled by cops, but when I pulled out my badge (FireFighter) their whole persona changes. So what I did was go get persoalized state firefighter plates. Now I only have had 2 cops pull me over for window tint in the last 3 years.

Traffic stops are cop killers. Paranoia runs rampant in those first 2 minutes. You have it ingrained in training and by experience that most of the on duty deaths are committed during a stop for a traffic violation. Knowing that ur a firefighter goes a long way in establishing you are not a bad guy. Don't take it personal, cause it really isn't. And I get pulled over a lot here in the south.

Neighbors called the cops and when the deputy responded he broke up the fight and cut the guys a break. Two hours later, Mr. Beer Run walks down his block and rapes and batters a young lady just walking home. He grabbed her off the street and drug her into a cemetary to do it. This happened on Thursday. Typical day for us....life altering for her. So, should the original deputy given this guy a break?

Not to derive from the topic further, but my only "beef" with cops is speed traps. cop pulls me over, tells me I'm doing 20 over, I inform him that I looked at my speedometer when I saw him and tell him that I was going 10 over, he writes me a ticket for 20 over.

There are a few cops in Houston whom I'd like to personally watch choke to death.

Example A: I am doing 80 mph in a 60. So is the Mustang next to me. 1 mile down the high way I get pulled over and so does the Mustang. The cop gets out of the car, tickets me, and notifies me that the guys in the black Mustang are actually cops using a bait car to catch speeders. Here is my logic when I get to court:

Me: "Why did you give me a ticket?"
Cop: "You were SPEEDING! TWENTY MILES OVER!!"
Me: "What's the big deal?"
Cop: "What? You could have KILLED SOMEONE!"
Me: "I was matched mph for mph with the COP in the BLACK MUSTANG next to me. One of YOUR guys, who also could have KILLED SOMEONE."

Logic: It's ok for cops to put your life in danger (which is pretty much all they ever do). But not ok for Kommi.

Sorry Robocop. I'm an ex street racer. I have also never received anything but stress, sass, condescension, and the desire to kill from any police officer. I have nothing against you personally, but I can't stand how cops follow the rules in the book and not the ones of logic.
