If I get the $24.99 plan for the G1 and I already have the $20 family text, will I be able to use both. This would save me $10 a month.

They probably have a custom plan for that. Your family usually will not benefit from your unlimited data4g1 plan, but they may discount one or the other. Best thing you can do is call them and ask, then call them again and ask someone else.

I know there are people in the forum who have the same question so.. I would search for the last time this came up..

yes you should be fine...my family has the $20 unlimited text plan and I have the $25 data plan and it works great together.

My wife and I both have the $25 plan with our G1s. We have 2 other lines that dont have data packages. So we also have the unlimited text.
