Why so much SPAM on AC lately?

I've reported at least 1 or 2 a day in the past week. Is there anyway to stop it?

Sorry guys, I probably need to do some IP banning to cut down on it. I have some things going on at home that have kept me distracted and away a bit the past few days, but I will see if I can get back on today. Slacker no more!!

i think its something going on. I've been getting a lot of spam on my vbulletin powered forum also this week. I went months with out getting spam now all of a sudden i am getting about 5 new bots a day. if i find a solution i will let yawl know. i haven't had a chance to see what was on vborg to defend against this yet.

Are spambots and adbots computer generated? If so, can't AC implement one of those jumbled word things that you use when you register? You know the one where the letters or numbers are skewed and you have to type them in manually. I don't know anything about this stuff. Just a thought.

i agree this is getting out of hand, wonderin why these spammers are targeting us. hmmm
