Am presently on three network here in the UK,but of late i've been experiencing network problems which is quite frustrating.
Am thinking of switching to another network.I know some of you guys are also using other networks. So what do you think is the best network for the G1 aside from Three network.
By the way am on pay as you go

Three have the best 3G network, and a part owners of it with T-Mobile. But however, Three has a poor, poor 2G network.
Why not try T-Mobile, they have a good voice network and the uber 3G.
I'm going to be in the UK for a 3-month trip and will be using T-Mobile pay-as-you-go with them. I ordered a SIM from them and my Mum is going to top it up and send it to me sometime soon, before I leave the U.S...
The SIM card came with a card that says I will get a bunch of free stuff just for joining them, like free texts and 5 days of unlimited internet for free...
I would definitely look into T-Mobile.

Like i said earlier i prefer a pay as u go deal and T-mobile UK doesnt offer any deal on pay as u go for unlimited browsing.U have to be on a contract with them.
T-Mobile's website says they charge no more than a pound for internet (is this not 3g?) per day, and you can buy 5 days of unlimited usage for 2.50.

T-Mobile and 3 have fast 3G but T-Mobile can very sketchy depending on where you are/will be in the country. I am on O2 and haven't had any problems. You can also buy an unlimited web bolt on for their pay as you go service and you got free text messages when you top up.
Orange tend to offer deals as well. Don't know about Vodafone or others like Tesco Mobile

T-mobile's 3g service is not very good where i am. Are you kidding me?One pound per day? Three, offers unlimited internet for £5 per month and i think o2 is £10 per month. Am not ready to pay £30 per month for unlimited internet minus calls and text

Tmobile is also good, but £2.50 is expensive for 5 days (£15 month) and no free texts!!!!

I have answered this before. £10 a month, thats unlimted data and free 300 texts. I dont make any calls at all, so that all i pay. You can swap the 300 free texts for free calltime of you wish.
Just try it, only a tenner if you dont like it, i cant think why you wouldn't. I got my friend to use it on his touch diamond, he loves it too.
I don't want to hijack the thread, but are any of you using an American G1? I want to know if I can just buy a replacement charger for my phone while there or if I need to bring mine and an adapter... if you want to PM me if you know the answer, that way I don't totally hijack... Thanks...
On-Topic, I guess T-Mobile is maybe not the best for you, but it's still the best of the ones I researched for me, I will be calling back to Texas while there, and they had good international rates... I will check out others once there, but for now, I'm going to use T-Mob...

nearly all adapters are 110/240 so you just need the adapter 2 pin to 3pin. Check on the charger.
Thanks, I will look into it... got a while till I leave...
