i have a g1 wifi speed problem

Ok I need some help.I just got time warner with roadrunner turbo with wifi.so I connect my g1 to it via wifi ofcoarse.well I speed test it and it run at about 6mbps ok cool.but the next day o test it because it seemed kinda slow and it came out at 100kbps!....so I rebooted my router wifi box all that and bam its back up to 6mbps.but that only happens once.,after that back down to 100kbps give or
Take.so I called time warner and they went threw a bunch of bull crap tests and nothing.I have all the latest router and wifi tech I should not be running slow than edge.can anyone help me?

This may sounds nuts, and I don't know if anyone has this happen. Inside my house reception is not great, of course I use wifi. Noticed that when my phone data service is not avail, faster wifi... as if it were cycling back and forth when I can get both. I have APNdriod which kills all data connection (except wifi). So, tried it -- not a formal test mind you -- and it seems much faster with JUST wifi on.

Ok I'm back....so I did some more tests on my own,I connected to a neighbors wifi and had no problem getting over 2mbps with poor signal!....so I guess it must be my wifi box maybe?any ideas?........oh yea I have time warner 15mbps turbo road runner with a smc wifi box don't know what kind of modem but time warner brought it all the wifi box is 802.11b/g I use a wep and without a wep and got same speeds 100kbps or less. I need help bad please!!!!
