Live Chat - AC Forum Room

i created a room but no one showed up... maybe i should have ****tails...

the app will erase your room if its empty... some one should write up an app for ac and require user name and password.

download live chat from market and go to ::::::AC FORUM::::: NOW!

Or.....we can make a chatting program for G1! Like the one similar to the wall in Where but based on real time (instead of refreshing) :D

I made a room, gonna leave myself logged in and see if it boots me out of it overnight or when the phone goes idle

Maybe an IRC channel wouldn't be a bad idea , I'd imagine it'd be more stable than this

firc (free) seems to work. just trying it now.

I just logged in with chatzilla to test and it worked
I haven't used IRC in ages either, the faq for chatzilla will get you there easily

Changed the Live forum to android community forum so people don't come in thinking it's an ahserons community ( already happened once lol )

ok i just got firc, how do i use it? its a bit confusing plus i have used irc on my pc only a few times

firc is buggy. looks like it has potential. paid irc app is kinda steep @ $4.95

i connected w/ firc, just put in server, channel, click 'chat'.

Ok so I can get into the default firc room , it shut Live down on me when I opened it however

I just joined a room called androidcommunity ( apparently joining a room is how you open one )

Dunno if it would show up in the list for other people though

Ok so we figured it out

Download fIRC

go to connect, enter a nickname.
Where it says default channels put in #androidcommunity
for IRC server just enter irc.cloudnyne.net

then press connect
You'll be back at the main screen, go to chat
the room may not show up, just hit menu and join channel.
type in #androidcommunity if you have to and connect

Sorry I lost ya in Live McKoy , but at least now we have a bit more permanent solution.
It's fairly responsive, as soon as I type it on my phone my message flashes on my screen and vice versa
Only drawback to Live is no photo's I guess
