Does any one know if the G1 works with the Sony Ericsson MBW watches?

Heres a video of what it is for those who dont know, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yPadf8wrk4

And this is the watch I want to get, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4YEhkTDRVY

Some cool things about this are how it vibrates when you get calls or texts. It displays text messages on the watch and if you forget your phone on a bench or something the watch will vibrate once you get a certain distance away from your phone. Pretty cool.

Any info will be appreciated, thanks!

Wouldn't surprise me if it worked. If its meant for any average phone, the G1 should be able to use it. See if you can test a store model or something somewhere.

Not a MUSIC PLAYER, but it controls your music player. The guy in the video stated tht the watch has no audio functions itself.

It's cool!!! As a former watch store manager, and a life-long 'Gadget-Guy' I'd get one...!!!!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Well, lets see some scenarios.

1. Your phone might be ringing but you cant hear nor feal the vibration in your pants, but If your watch begins to vibrate aswell its touching with skin so your bound to notice it and not miss a call/email/or text.

2. You go to a restaurant for lunch, someone calls you, you get done lay the phone on the table. You finish eating, pay your bill, and leave. 5feet later your watch begins to vibrate and tells you that your a retard and your forgetting your phone.

I will get it if it works with the G1. :D

thats what i meant! not very practical for music! i mean might as well just press the buttons on the phone

maybe the phone is on the table when your listening to music and want to change the song cuz your far away but wouldnt your dam watch be vibrating cuz u walked away from the phone?

good concept, bad execution

I've started working on it (an application that connects Bluetooth watches to Android). Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4441100 for more details and up to date info. ;)

Sounds good, you should reply to this post when your app is finished.

I think G1 should work for Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Watch (http://www.fones.com/mobile-accessories/bluetooth-watches.html). I request you to please carry your mobile phone to a local dealer and verify with it by having live demo. I think any shopkeeper will not deny you, afer all they have to sell a product. And if you find it costly over there, just come back and order it online :) Thanks and hope this will help you to solve your concern.
