using g1 data plan with blackberry for texting

i have a blackberry 8900 and a g1 w/ the g1 unlimited data plan and was wondering if i would be able to use the g1 data plan on the blackberry for only texting and if the texting would be free because of the g1 unlimited text

If you plan to use the same service provider, line, and SIM card it doesn't matter what device you use for text messaging. If you have paid T-Mobile for unlimited texting, you have unlimited texting -- device and data plan aside.

o ok jace man just wanted to be sure cause i had a sidekick plan with a razor before but i know the blackberry is a different server so i wasnt sure
