Review
eBuddy is a fast and compatible instant messenger for the Android platform, it offers over 6 different chat services combined all into one entire buddy list, which you can filter to separate accounts fro one another and the new chat style bubbles separate this app from other messeger apps on the market

Pros:

- Very beautiful / elegant UI
- Supports different chat accounts
- Emotion icons
- Easy to switch between chats with nice chat buddies
- Easy sign-up and add accounts for different chat services
- Stay logged in for quite awhile, occasional disconnections
- Buddy icons support
- View buddy info
- Ability to block / delete buddy
- Set custom away / available / invisible messages
- FREE APP

Cons:

- Some chat services such as Facebook logs you off occasionally
- Gets disconnected from service from time to time but stays on for a good 1-3 hrs
- Seen a little battery drainage but wasnt sure if this app was causing most of it
- Can't set custom notification sounds
- When setting available message, it changes to away, its a bug which will e fixed
- NO LED notification (maybe be added later)

Final Review
Overall, this app impressed me a lot, they created a very professional application for the android platform at a cost of FREE. Very nice UI for stylish android junkies who love to see elegant interface. I used this instant messenger app pretty much the entire day from morning to this afternoon and did a decent job on replying back to messages, occasional disconnections which might be my reception in my area but other than that I have mainly used this as my primary instant messenger app as relation to other instant apps such as Hello IM which is a paid app. THIS APP IS COMPLETELY FREE and will continue to have updates to make this app even that much better. I HIGHLY recommended all instant messenger app gurus to try this app out for themselves.

Awesome review Johnny. I'll definitely download it. Ebuddy sounds so familiar. I'm not sure when i last used it. Maybe from Nokia?

I'm having a glitch with the scrolling. if I scroll the screen everything doubles up continuously overlapping until it's unreadable.

Good review, I'll check this out later. It'll be hard to beat Meebo though (I don't get disconnected from Meebo), so we'll see.

Another awesome review by Johnny!!

I downloaded this application early yesterday morning. I have to say I am quite impressed with it as well. I have had NO disconnects, which is a first for me with the multitude of IM apps available on the market. I am definitely sticking with this one!

I tried this out too and was really impressed with the UI and ease of use. I wasn't expecting much since it was free, but I was quickly proven wrong. Also I experienced no disconnects while over WiFi and I was using it for about 4 hours. However when I left home for today for school I did get disconnected, but I think thats because I was out of 3G range and was transitioning to EDGE.

i agree, the quality of this app is amazing and its FREE which i love but i wouldn't mind donating to this dev for all their hardwork im assuming its a team of designers for this app.

Also i agree with the transition from 3G to Edge or WiFi to edge which can cause a loss in signal thats probably what i experienced.

Johnny, based on the screenshots it looks as though you were testing the application with wifi off. Is this correct? Can you confirm?

Periodic timeouts and disconnects are to be expected, but if you're staying online in each service for 1 to 3 hours at a time over Edge -- well, then I'll just have to take eBuddy for a spin.

Correct, i have been using 3G and edge while testing it out, i was on Edge when i took the screenshots

since my college's wifi is choppy in areas of the campus i didnt use it.

I like the app I just don't like the apps like this or Palringo where you need an account through them.

its part of the service, they offer a free app, they make you sign up for their service

its part of marketing.

its not that big of a hassle anyways....

Ok, been playin with it for a few hours on that 3G son. So far its still a little buggy. 1. Im having problems staying connected to fb (like our boy johnny said) 2. AiM isnt showing everyone on my list that is signed on, i was going back and fourth from pc to phone and phone shoes 12 ppl availabe and pc shows 32 ppl availiabe. Possibly due to the fact that im switching between both and it can cause a double sign on. ill keep messing and keep posting =D

In my trial, I was losing connectivity with the various IM services every couple of minutes. This is the same thing I experienced with every other interoperable messenger app I've tried for Android. Maybe it's a case of regional network stability.

Anyone out there local to St. Louis having better luck than I?

I don't like it to split buddy list to online and offline. A lot of my YIM contacts usually make them invisible but I do know they're online. Meboo got this problem and hopefully eBuddy stays away from it.
