AC is getting big. Android is getting bigger all the time, and as a result.. there is information overload.

It's getting harder to find good information on AC without spending an hour reading through big threads. If you ask a question, someone has already asked it somehwere in the laybrinth of posts, and you'll get the smartaleck "use the search" replies.

By the time you do get somebody generous to help you, or you spend your evening hunting down the info- too late, the next big thing is here and you're back to square one.

For this reason, I propose an official FAQ system at AC.

Just make a "FAQ" section of the forum.

Then create a faq thread on each notable subject- "rosie", "Cupcake OTA", "JF 1.5", Apps to SD, Rooting ,etc

These will be the "go to" threads for the latest information, links to sources/files, and feedback on various important Android subjects.

Sticky them.

Keep the FAQ/question-answers info at the top, and keepthe info/answers up-to-date and current. (with the update date next to any added information)

Allow people to post questions below.. any BS posts get deleted.

Good posted answers get added to the FAQ.

Simple. No more problems.

was there not just a thread on this a couple of days ago?

Didn't LazyGenius write a FAQ/Glossary which was stickied?

I must be losing it in my old age, maybe that never happened and it was all in my mind.

yes he did write a FAQ and it was a cool idea- I'm proposing we go further with it- for detailed info on each subject.

Lazy's FAQ is good, but there is still tons of info not on it.. and it is a "general" faq

Subjects such as the HERO build, JF 1.5, etc could use their own faqs, as people need this info and will keep asking about it.

For example, a JF 1.5, or even a general JF FAQ would include a basic "how to install" guide, notes on the various changes, and any known problems... along with links to the source files.

In the spirit of organizing information well- here is a link to Lazy's FAQ, mentioned above..
