Changing icons

Hi, can someone tell me how to change my icons? I used Ahome and like the icons that come with various themes. However, I'm looking to use some icons I saw on XDA and other websites. I would like to use these as contact icons using Any Cut. My phone is rooted, and I'm using JF's build with cupcake.

Do I just make a folder title icons and drop them on the sd card. Or, could I put them in the pictures/media/camera folder and then use them as if they were pictures.

Forgive me if this has been posted. I did check, and didn't see any threads dealing with this matter.

I dropped the .png icons in the camera folder and can now use them as if they were pictures.

I use Bettercut, and I keep a folder on my sdcard called "icons" where I dump my icons
