I'm viewing the forum this morning and every new topic I visit I'm presented with this Xerox Ad. Its annoying as heck honestly.

Firefox + Adblock = No popup ads.

Seriously, unless you are on a work computer you and can't download new software, there's really no reason to use Internet Explorer anymore. Firefox, Opera and Chrome are all better alternatives IMO.

you don't even need adblock to avoid pop up ads.. thats a built in function to the browser.

seriously... stop using IE

Yeah I normally use FF for everything, but the work guys don't like it. They rather spend thousands towards antivirus apps, spyware and everything else, but Firefox.

I think I'm going to install it anyways because I hate IE.

I was just bringing up the fact that there is a popup on the site for the powers that be and it is rather annoying, but hey its their site.

That's a great idea! I use Firefox Portable on my flash drive for when I'm on a computer other than my own. I even have Adblock Plus and Xmarks loaded on it. It's a great way to keep your browser with you, including bookmarks and settings.

I use google chrome. It's compact. If I didn't care about the few extra pixels being taken up, I'd use Firefox 1.5. Because 2.x and 3.x is all bloatware and an insult to browsers now. I haven't seen much "improvement" at all. I think Google has the solution to making browsing run smoother.

Google chrome uses more harddrive space for those parts of the browser that needs a lot of space, such as the history, and the history of closed tabs. That's one memory leak of firefox I think is what has destroyed it, is the ability to go back to a tab you closed. It's too buggy, I would think. And then Google Chrome uses more processes, but I am able to use more tabs on Google chrome than Firefox due to stability being better.

But on that - if you plan on breaking rules and installing firefox, get 1.5. Best version of Firefox ever.
