Here's how to embed images in your posts at Android Community. While you have the capability to "hotlink" directly to the image where it is originally hosted, that presents a couple of problems. For one, if that server moves or deletes the image, your post will no longer make sense. Also, many image hosting services, such as imageshack, have bandwith limitations. Once that limit is reached, the forum posting gets a cute sign in place of your image saying that the bandwith has been exceeded. No good for a site with the traffic that we generate. So, what's the RIGHT way to do it? It's not much harder (it's about one extra step), and it has the benefit of placing a copy of the image on the AC server. That way we know the image will be there as long as the forum is still there. So here goes--embedding images on Android Community
Step 1--find a cool image to embed in your post and save it to your computer.

Step 2--While editing your post, near the bottom of the page you will see a "Manage Attachments" button.

Step3--After you click that button, you will be presented with the following window

Step4--Click on the Browse button and locate each file that you want to embed in your post.
Step5--After you have browsed to each file, then hit the "Upload" button to upload the files to the server. When you are done uploading, you can close the window with the "Close this Window" button at the bottom of the window. At that point, the files will show as thumbnails at the bottom of your post. If that's good enough for you, you are done. But if you want the images to show "inline" continue to the next couple of steps.
Step6--If you want the image to show inline, click the "Preview Post" button. Your post will appear with the attachments at the top of the page (right above where you are editing--you will have to scroll up to see it. You should see the attachments at well.) Right click on one of the image thumbnails that you want to show inline and choose "Copy Shortcut".
