Interested in beta testing a free CBR comic viewer for Android? Email testing@robotcomics.net to participate.
Droid Comic Viewer or ACV is a lightweight CBZ comic/manga viewer for Android mobiles. The latest version (1.3.0) introduces two major changes to ACV:
* CBR/RAR support (disabled by default)
* Can open individual images and image folders (long tap on the folder to view its images sequentially)
We disabled CBR/RAR support by default because we felt it is not ready for production yet. While we successfully tested ACV with dozens of comics, it would be impossible for us to cover every representative CBR comic and casuistic. With your help, we hope to discover most of the bugs that eluded our internal alpha testing. The more bugs we uncover, the better ACV will be.
Our goal is to make ACV the best free comic viewer available for any mobile platform. Adding CBR support is one of many major features that we have planned for ACV, and we would love to do this with the support and feedback of the Android community.
It is important for us to make clear that this is not a paying position. While we might hire beta testers for other features in the future, we cannot finance beta testing of free features. Except for those who wish to remain anonymous, all beta testers will get a special acknowledgment on our site.
Send us an email to testing@robotcomics.net and we will contact your with further instructions shortly. Beta testing begins this week. Meanwhile, if you're not familiar with ACV, we invite you to learn more about it at:
