Music and Charge

Hey guys, Hopefully someone with a bit more wisdom than myself can help me out,

I need a way to play music from my G1 and charge it simultaneously,

My CD player in my car has a 3.5mm AUX connector, Iv been using my iPod but its getting annoying carrying two items around, so Id like to sell my iPod.

I have no USB in my car, only 3.5mm, Is there anyway that I can play music and charge using just the mini-USB to 3.5mm converter?

I dont even have a cigarette lighter or anything, but I can get it as an extra if its worth it?

without a cigarette lighter, how do you expect to charge your phone? you can hook a power inverter direct to your battery,lol.

Fair point, So I get a lighter, then what?

What's the minimum with cables etc, and I live in the UK :)
