copy my apps to sd card (dont want to run them just copy)

How can I copy my apps to my sd card? I need some help please. :) Im pretty sure I have copied one to my sd card through terminal. Its shows up under sdcard in terminal but when I plug my phone in with usb cable and search through card I do not see it :*(

im using cyanogen's ROM and it automatically for you. I had my sd card partitioned through paragon prior to flashing so it recognized my ext2 and automatically moved my stuff to the sd card.

if you have root i believe you can dl Apps2SD from the market and it will partition your card for you, afterwards just hit copy apps to sd and youre done.

at least for me it was that easy...
