Ok, so I finally rooted and was running JF1.41... I used the JF Updater app to upgrade to 1.5... added the latest radio today... I was feeling brave so I thought I'd add a theme... I chose this theme: [Theme]Hero theme for JFv1.51 CRB43-US from the XDA site... I installed it successfully but can not get it to load past the load screen... I see the HTC HERO screen and then nothing... it is in an endless loop there... I did a nandroid back-up (I thought) by pressing ALT-B before installing the radio, so I figured worse case, I have to reinstall that... but I'm not sure how to recover from Nandroid...
Please tell me I didn't do too much damage?... I kind of stuck now... any assistance is greatly appreciated...
I also posted a shorter post on the thread of the theme over on the XDA site...
Thanks!

take off of the sd card the update.zip for the theme . put back on the sd card the update.zip of the jf rom , power up your phone into recovery (home + power button) , apply the update zip , and you are good to go . i recommend going to cyanogens roms and cyanogens recovery . good luck !

I should have thought of that... thanks!... I'll let you know how it works out...
right now either my microSD adapter doesn't work or my systems card reader doesn't work...

if you want to try , this might help .....
power off , power on into recovery , alt+W (wipe) , then reboot .

I deleted the theme update and re-copied the JFv1.41_RC33 to the card... now I get the original android boot screen with the flashing android, but it loops there instead of moving forward...
what am I missing?...

did you try wiping before flashing? you may have remnants of the theme left over.

Wiping then reflashing the rom should fix everything just make sure u give it enough time to boot the first time always takes the longest wait at least 7 or 8 min. The longest for me was around 6 mins after flashing the hero theme

I love you guys!!!... it's communicating w/ Google now... back in business... I had to re-format my card earlier this morning because it wasn't accepting any of the old update.zip files I had... kept saying <bad>... not sure what that meant but re-formating the card worked...
so much for my venture into the world of themes... lol...
Thanks again for all of your help!!
