Nice myTouch case!

Found these cases while reading a post on another board, from someone who reviewed this same case for his Nokia E71.

The poster said that he had tried out about ten other cases, and this one was the best one. Doesn't attract link/dirt, fits the device very tightly, while being easy to remove, and provides protection!

The myTouch doesnt seem as appealing to me.. just seems like a keyboardless G1 quite honestly. Now, what i would get with is that Hero, solely for that UI... *drools at the UI*

You can run the Sense UI on the Magic, I have it one mine. The UI is exactly the same, runs just as fast and fluid as on the Hero as the Magic has the same specs minus the 5MP camera and headphone jack.

For those interested, I was the OP on this thread, and now have received the case.

I purchased the smoke/black color being my myTouch is black.

It took around 10 days, from order to door to receive the case. Came with a free screen protector, which I haven't used, because I'm using the screen protector that came with the myTouch, which so far I like.

The case is very snug fitting, easy to put on or take off, and won't come off by accident. It really adds minimal to the overall size of the myTouch.

The material it's made of is really nice. If you've used this type of case in the past, many of them are made of silicone, and dust, lint and other debris sticks to it like a magnet. You end up spending more time cleaning your case then cleaning the screen on your phone! This case does NOT have that problem. While it will, after a while, get some dust, a quick wipe removes it, and it is very infrequent.

Easy to put in and take out of your pocket, if that's how you usually transport your phone.

It also has a very nice feel in your hand... doesn't feel slippery, gives the phone nice gripe when holding and using it.

Overall, this is a GREAT case. I may find another case I end up getting in the future (I'd love a thin, vertical leather slip case, saw one for one of the Blackberrys but they don't, as of yet, have one for the myTouch), but for five bucks, even if I end up only using it for a month or two, it was still a great purchase. And actually, I may just keep this as my permanant case. Love that it maintains the light weight and small size of the mT3G.

One last thing. The pattern that's shown in the photo on the first post, you can NOT see that pattern most of the time. Unless you're outdoors, in strong sunlight, the back of the case simply looks black... in bright sunlight, you do see the pattern.

You can't, if you have a MyTouch. It's not rooted yet, doesn't seem to be progressing all that well either. (as far as i've read) I have a Roger's Magic rooted pretty much the day after it was out.:)

not true. those cooked up ROMS cant be compared to the actual Sense UI. they come close but you actually deal with the Hero you can see the difference in the two....

From what I've seen on all the reviews etc looks about as close as it gets. Not that it matters I still have the look and as far as I can tell the function of the stuff that matters to me about using the ROM. I'm happy with it and it's nice and smooth so it's all good. :D;)
