how to fix camera app?

something is wrong with my camera app on the phone. i tryed getting a different camera app but it said the same thing, whenever i open the app it says, ''activity camera ''in application camera'' is not responding. then it has 2 choices wait or force close. what do i do? how do i fix it? please help.

What build?

Tried restarting?
Tried installing Taskiller and closinf all the apps then using the camera?
etc etc etc.

You'll probably have to go through some ADB commands which a few of our members here could really help you out.

try hooking your phone up to your computer and going into the dcim folder on your SD card. when in there delete the .thumbnails folder. Sometimes something in there get messed up and forcing the system to make a new on might fix it.

if your not rooted, and you're getting camera errors, you may have to do a factory reset, did you get the newest update?

Before doing a factory reset try erasing the .thumbnails folder on your SD card
(SD card-->dcim-->.thumbnails)

ok i tryed the SD card thumbnail thing but it didnt work. because i have lost my SD card. it just says theres nothing in the DCIM folder.

you don't have an sd card in your phone? if not thats your problem, it needs somewhere to store the pictures

no even when i did have a 2gb one it didnt work.

whether it's what's causing the problem or not, you're going to need a SD card to use the camera.

but my camera didnt work even before when i had 1. did u read what it says when im trying to use it, nothing but black then it shows what i said on the 1st post.

that's what it says with a corrupt thumbnail file too. maybe you had a bad file on your card and the camera is just remembering the last setting from when the card was installed.

can you perhaps get ahold of another card?

yeah my bro also have a G1 and his camera works so i took his SD card but still the same.
