Just copy the URL and paste it anywhere. Instant message, private message, text message, whatever.

All they need is the link. Then they can sign in with their email address and password (or they can create one).

I've given away several already. I just forward them the email Google sends me.

FYI if you don't want it I'll surely take it.

I still haven't got any invites to give away! I've been waiting every day, but nothing has shown up. I assume nothing special needs to be done to be able to invite people, but it would be nice. I swear I'm the last person on earth to get invites to give out!

just tell them to go to http://www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html

and click "Request an invite" instead of begging for invites on forums and making themselves look dumb.

How about you lookup jerk in the dictionary (dictionary.com) and then tell me how it applies to you. Seeing as how I already requested an invite like 2+ weeks ago and still haven't received one obviously you have no clue what you're talking about. Who's dumb now?

how about you troll somewhere else tnolte. your only posts here have been to ask for gv invite and to call me a jerk.

i have 5 GV numbers, all were received within a day of requesting them directly from google. maybe they just don't like you, though I can't imagine why

Well, so it seems we both have different experiences, I'll retract my accusation that you don't know what you're talking about, however I didn't appreciate being called dumb. I'm not a troll, but I find no excuse for calling someone dumb without any knowledge of where they are coming from. I was on a hunt for a GV invite for my wife to use for our church. Please in the future I would hope that would would show more respect for people that are new to the forums.

I would love a GV invite! I am going out of state for a job this summer with little to no phone coverage in the area and would like to stay in contact with loved ones. krozetp is my gmail and I would happily trade a google wave invite.

I have 15 google wave invites. If anyone wants a google wave invite, send me a PM with your google mail address.

I'm still looking for one as well. Although I may be considered a troll...I've read these forums and gain much from the knowledge here for some time. I just don't post a lot a as such, had no need to join. There are several forums I read regularly without joining. I am a Google Freak, that's no lie, I have every Google app I can get my hands on, but can't seem to get a GV invite. I signed up awhile ago, but to no avail...invites from Google are slow going, especially now that they made students a priority.

So anyway, if anyone has a GV invite to spare, I'd love one...I have Wave invites, but can't imagine any who wants one doesn't already have one :-)

There are people selling gv invites on eBay for a dollar. :)

They may be starting the bidding at $1, but they quickly shoot up to over $20. Every time someone brings this up (which they do too often), I go to ebay to check. and they're always much higher than $1 by the time I get there :-)
