1. No more donuts.
2. A guide above the forms about rooting and hard spl's, boot lopp's etc.
And a mandatory approval before posting for the first time from new members.
please and thank you.

Seriously, the knowledge base is being worked on, which will have some basic info. Approval before posting isn't going to happen. Donuts will abound.

I think for first time members, their first post should have to be approved, this kills out spam to us, I mean believe me I love seeing Viagra post around 3a.m. but I'm sure someone else might not, the whole first post as a member gets processed would stop spam pretty much, next would be to phish our profiles, but lets face it, this isn't myspace and it wouldn't happen.
And yea I know about donut discussion is going to be all over I just get tired of hearing about it lol.

I'll discuss the spam issue with the other mods (and we do discuss it), but just as a heads-up you'd be surprised how much spam gets filtered.
Especially the late night SPAM.

i like the "first post" idea. without time to give it much thought, the only drawback i can immediately think of is the person who needs help quickly. they'd have to wait for a mod to be online.and i'm sure there are times when a mod is not around for an hour or two.i don't mind deleting the spam, but i'd rather not see it. especially knowing there are some young kids that visit here and some of the spam is very pornographic. i think it would be best to not let them see it at all. i'm sure there are times it sits there for more than just a few minutes.

I'm no "web page guru" and I very well could be missing something that's right there in my face... but why is this site such a big target for spam? Am I just not seeing all of the other sites spam because of some other reason and they getting just as much as this one?
I do know that the spam filter that you guys have set up blocks a lot more than I can see and the few that do get through you knock out rather fast. I'm just curious why I'm seeing the few that get through on this site and not on any other site/forum.
