I’m just about to get a UK T-Mobile contract along with HTC Hero. As I travel quite a lot within the EU roaming rates are pretty important to me, thus I’ve also checked price per MB when abroad. It is stated that it’s £1.5 per megabyte. My question is if do pay £1.5 every time when I access the Internet from my mobile or everything totals up to 1MB? For example:

I’ll use 500KB for retrieving my e-mail. Disconnect.
Then I’ll use 300KB for FB. D/C.
Then I’ll use 180KB for sth else. D/C.

In this way I’ve used 980KB in 3 connections – the question is: do I pay £1.5 or £4.5?

Cheers.

i have no evidence to back this up what so ever. but assuming you have a regular monthly plan i would say it adds up (3 equaling 1.5mb is one fee, not 3).

if you have some sort of pay as you go data plan it may do the other (it counts a usage as the minimum.) but that seems a bit shady, seeing as that's actually quite a bit of data difference. more so then using 33 seconds of one available minute.

but my advice would be call your phone operator customer service and get it cleared up.

here's my bill from last week in Greece when i had roaming turned on by mistake. seems to be billed per byte or kilobyte.
