I flashed cyanogen 3.9.5 and everything went well. I hit the Home button after and it gave me a choice to set android Home as default or set Slide locker Home as default. I accidentally hit to make Slideunlocker as default and it directed me to a download manager but it never got out of there! I cant navigate through it except when I hit the dialer or the end button but everytime i hit Home it goes to the download manager. I tried reflashing cyan 3.9.5 but its still the same. I even deleted slideunlocker and others that are realted to it but its still stuck in the download manager.
Please help me, Im running out of ideas. I wanna try everything before I really have to Wipe.

also , you could try powering into safe mode then changing back the default screen .
safe mode....
power off . power on pressing menu and power at the same time . hold until after g1 boot screen . it will boot into normal and say safe mode in the lower left corner

the next option is going to be a wipe . it will probably be good for the phone anyways , by ridding it of some bad data .

after this , you should install cyanogens recovery 1.4 . it has a backup / restore feature . you make a backup , and if there ever is trouble , you restore . even if you are on another rom , it will restore you to the original rom .

do you have a card reader ? maybe there is a file for slideunlocker that you can delete ?

I can still access other things in my phone. I deleted the slideunlocker file using the mount/unmount. its just that everytime i unlock it (pressing menu) itll go to the download manager. its soo weird.

a wipe will take care of it . im 99.9999999999999% sure . maybe there is a file left on your sd ,that you can remove ,that keeps reverting your phone to the download manager ? i had problems updating to 3.9.4 . i put in a 2nd sd card and it updated no problem . so i tried the original sd and it wouldnt update again . i read that if i had the userinit.sh on my sd , then it wouldnt update . so i took it off . still it wouldnt update . i had to wipe the ext2 to completely rid myself of the file . the userinit had data in the ext2 .

When you turned the phone on without the sd card in it, why didn't you go to the applications menu and tell home to be default again instead of it still set to look for the slider app? That should fix the problem. And get the new recovery mode (1.4). Nandroid is easy from that and great to have when you flash something that doesn't work. You can go back to a version that did work right from recovery.
