HTC Hero coming to T-mobile US???**

The first question that comes to mind is, is this real? At the June 8th MyTouch3G launch event this very question posed to T-mobile CTO Cole Brodman who emphatically denied that the HTC Hero was coming to T-mobile.

What are your thoughts?
Could this be true?
Will you get this phone if T-Mobile gets it?

it could be true they negated getting the phone cuz of course they want the mytouch to sell ....but it might come out to tmobile i dont think theyre that stupid to pass up that phone ...

if it did come out ...i might get it i like paying less money a month and 3g isnt a big deal for me .,...i use wifi.

hmm... interesting... if it did come out on tmo i hope they offer it in red and dont cripple the device at all. only then would i sell my current hero and return to tmo.

I was hoping that the Hero was coming to sprint, that way I wouldn't have to cancel my contract and pay an ETF. If it goes to tmobile, I will move over as well. Hopefully they still have the 1000 minutes promo going :)
(right now I have a G1 with a prepaid Tmobile sim with a sidekick plan)

UPDATE: There is absolutely no confirmation to this rumor other than this picture, no other confirmation exists regarding the HTC Hero launching on T-mobile USA.
This one just hit my inbox, courtesy of the guys over at Leakdroid who apparently have at least one person who knows how to navigate the HTC site pretty damn well. Of course, the obvious response is his desire not to detract from the day, or the surrounding buzz building up around the MyTouch3G. Should this stop you from purchasing the MyTouch3G? Absolutely not. None of this is confirmed whatsoever; we simply have the above picture. Regardless, this does pose some interesting questions about T-mobile’s 2009 Android roadmap.

That's very strange.... didn't a Tmo exec say that they weren't interested in the Hero because mytouch just came out?

I doubt it.. it doesn't make sense to have the HTC "mytouch" come out in Aug to bring out another HTC phone "Hero" a few months later????

The next phone will be the Motorola Morrison...in the fall.. I think this is not true..

It could possibly come to tmo. even though the mytouch was just released, this could make it to the market by the end of the year... keep in mind while the morrison most likely be released; it doesn't mean the hero can't be released as well. see, not all tmo. phones are released with a big marketing campaign and flashy advertisement. especially motorola phones.. they are released but its not really a big deal and much ppl don't even know. In my opinion, the morrison will be one of those "unknown to the public" type of phones. and the hero will be the "everybody knows it's out" type of phone should it be released to tmo. usa.. I was actually thinkin on buying the hero, but decided not too because of financial priorities. However should it get released tmo. usa u can bet i will buy that phone :) that's if huawei doesn't come out with theirs first w/ their front facing cam supporting skype video calls. ;)

i actually had gotten my hopes up when i saw the other leaked photo of it coming to sprint, but now that the exact same pic surfaced with t-mobile I AM LIKE WHATEVER! my g1 is still running strong i dont need a new phone

Maybe in another 6 months or something. I doubt they'd cannibalize the mytouch sales.
