Is it possible to set the phone lock on messaging?

I like the android lock, however, it gets annoying.. the only thing I would like to lock away are my sms' is it possible to put a lock on messaging itself, so I would just need to enter a pass when going to my messages, not when unlocking the phone?

i dont think so . since google assumed that having to log into your phone with a google account and having a lockscreen is enought . do people get into your sms ? mine is on pretty much all the time , so i dont need that security

You could use a Cyan Rom, or the launcher .apk over on xda and it can hide the apps in the drawer, and you could just quick launch your messaging app from there via search + s I think its set to.
Then there are some paid apps, and Idk if some are free, for a sms vaulting /security/hiding some texts.

Yea WTF . It's august and we still haven't gotten a SMS lock app or anything . This is the one app I want .
