Is it possible to set up a @ymail account for the MyTouch 3g? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

If the mytouch and the g1 have the same apps.
i believe there's an app called "Email"
from there just set up your ymail email and pass and then you get your mail there just as if you were to have more than one gmail account

I tried that, but no luck. I also have a @yahoo accout, which works perfectly fine. The @ymail, not so much. I was thinking maybe certain settings have to be used.

try changing the @ymail to @yahoo.com instead.
maybe you can still access it even with a different extension

Do you get yahoo email pushed to your phone like gmail?

Yes, but I didn't need any pop3 settings or anything. I thought the same would work for ymail, but no luck

Do you have a yahoo plus account?

Quick google shows that POP3 access for ymail in the USA used to be blocked, unless you have Yahoo Mail Plus.
However I found the following instructions, you could try.
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): in.pop.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): in.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
Account Name/Username: your username@ymail.com Email address: your username@ymail.com Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password

Same here. It tells me that I entered an invalid username or password, but I know for sure they're both correct.

I found a link that allowed me to set up my imap settings for Ymail specifically, not yahoo mail, the latter of which worked great the first time. Here's the link to the solution.

In the settings, though, I had to have none on security settings, but everything else was spot on. Good luck!
