SideKick Data plan problem

3 weeks ago I got a G1 for my cousin, who is using the 19.99 SIdekick data/messaging plan, and did the Hiptop APN settings for him and everything worked out good. Last Saturday the internet stopped working his phone and we called T-Mobile and they said that they did something to make the not work without a G1 data plan. Has any1 figured out a workaround to this? I.e. a different port setting number.

There is no workaround for this. Your cousin must change his/her plan to the G1 data plan in order for the data to work on the G1. Sorry. It looks like T-Mobile caught on to the use of the G1 on the sk data plan and flipped the switch to "off".
