guys i really need helpp HTC MAGIC boot

hey guys i have owned my htc magic for about 1 week now and i decided to try to flash it for hero rom and i used the nanodroid and wiped and uploaded the fatalily hero rom but after trying to boot it wont get pass the MY3GTOUCH green screen and so i went back and decided to restore it to factory settings once more and try to boot it up and now it wont even boot from factory settings .... i would really appericate it if someone can help me thanks ...

ITS 32B and something similar to what happen to this guy




I'm new here and have a HTC Magic Vodafone-branded and in New Zealand. I've applied unlockr's dalroid rooted rom for 32B and the update went smoothly.
When rebooting however it freezes on logo and now the damn thing will not boot up (carrier logo, have let it sit there for several minutes, no luck). At this point the only thing i can do is hard power down the phone by pulling out the battery.

I did not format the sd card before doing this, nor did i do a factory reset. Was this supposed to happen? Or does it just take a very long time first boot?

I made a noob mistake of not backing up the existing rom. I did make a second mistake of not checking that factory roms aren't available for download for this phone here. So I'll have to flash to something else I can download. At least it's not totally bricked if I can get to recovery http://www.androidforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I have not found any postings of NZ HTC Magic owners trying to root their phones yet, so I have a funny feeling our phones get bricked by this.

Anyone have any advice what I do from here? Has anyone had this problem? I would be graetful if someone could provide a stock vodafone 32B rom if they have one (google search unsucessful so far) or recomend a rom / provide a link (hero rom etc) that might boot up. I would guess the Australian Vodafone rom might work also.

you need to put a new rom on your sd card . , then go into recovery and boot it . youre going to need a card reader so that you can put the rom on your sd . rename it update ,and put the sd back into your phone . power up pressing home and power together holding the home button until the g1 screen . when you see the exclamation point press alt+L , then press alt+w to wipe the phone , then alt+s to update the rom , then reboot .

yea , i get 2-4 of this problem a day since the one click root app came out .....
you will be ok . im just working now and might get pulled away .

GG i just tried sticking the microsd into my SE phone thinking its the same slot now i cant take it out i dont think i can have sd reader that small what can i do

is there a chance that tmobile store can just help me ease this through? or will they be completely useless and waste of time

they wont help you at all , because you modded your phone . you need to get a reader . they cost from $6-10 . even if they did TRY to help , they would be useless :(

I prefer cyanogens latest , no theme . Preferably an experimental build , but stable will do ;)
Tmobile sells them for 10 . You could probably go into any chinese store in nyc and buy it cheap . What part of nyc are you in ?

thanks guys umm sims im from Queens , flushing and i just went to bestbuy to purchase the reader god they dont even have J&R price match so it turn out to be 20 bucks... so imm going to attempt to follow your directions right now

hey sims all i did was install nandroid i can still just download another rom and rename it update zip i never did any of the android SDK stuff like command lines and etc is it too late now ?
