everything is working perfectly for me. the only issue i had was a FC on the browser so i restarted it and it works perfect again

i know that some people only update on Fridays. or you can just update once a month or whatever you choose. it is not mandatory to update every time a new version of a rom comes out

Yea I know its not mandatory, I think I skipped like 5 updates till 4.0 came out. I think I'll flash when 5.0 comes out lol. Global Search just honestly kind of got in the way for me.


p.s. Adavance Launcher is now the market as a home replacement.

I found a bug in the browser . When you touch the screen with your finger , it zooms in , but won't unzoom . If you unzoom , you touch the screen and it zooms in again .

I went from 3.9. To 4.1 (the latest) and I've noticed slow down. The screen moves slowly if I install my apps. When I go into Terminal Emulator and type 'Su' I don't see Superuser poping up and asking for permission and also for AudioHack I don't see permission being asked. 'Su' doesn't give a response in TE

4.0.4 was probably the fastest . no way are you going to have a slowdown with 4.1.1 . its a super stable , lightning fast experimental . its got more donut in it than before , and better on battery life than 3.7 . if you dont like it , you can always nandroid restore back to 3.7 , just remember to do a backup before you update .

Same thing happened to me. After I flashed everything on all screens was gone, rebooted and everything came back.

It seems like an issue that's a non isuue , it doesn't hand around , doesn't persist . A reboot solves it . But it shouldn't happen anyways . A bug in the rom . Not really a big deal though . I'm not even going to try to catch it in the log collector , it probably won't happen again .

Its there for me . If its a big deal for you , try wiping .
Remember people , this is an experimental line of roms . There's bound to be issues . If this is a concern for you , stay with the stable line .

This happens to me all the time even on 4.04, but a reboot fixes it. Happens often when I turn off the phone when I go to sleep and turn it on in the morning. *reboot*

oddly enough everything is working on 4.1.4 ! i didnt expect that . but , its very laggy . lets reboot for the first time and see if it fixes it . lots of new stuff i see already . new camera app !

4.1.4 is experimental everything on it works . It is laggy in places , like returning to your homescreen and receiving phone calls . It isn't perfected . Its not a polished cyan build , but it is donut ( 1.6 ) . It does work , just a little slow around the edges :)

thats the only thing on donut that i absolutely hate . it doesnt have anything that the htc camera had on earlier builds . no zoom , no filters , smaller visual screen , you cant even turn off the shutter sound ! this camera doesnt belong on a smartphone !

nope . no pushing no wiping . just a reboot after initial update . everything works fine . just lags in places , like the phone app . iff you recieve many phonecalls a day , this might annoy you . i can deal with it . it still works fine . i just hate that camera . it almost makes me want to spit donut out , but im starting to grow fond of donut , even with the lag . btw , even though i didnt wipe , i recommend you do . i wanted to do it without for a reason . remember , this is an experimental om , there are/will be some issues . and , very importantly , make a backup .

Well u know how when u take a pic it gets geotaged, it records the gps location of where the pic was taken. Well now u can finally view that location on g maps straight from the gallery, I know photoburst app does this, idk there might be more but its good to have it in there finally

Also u guys try the voice synthesis yet? Its like text to speach app but has a few lenguages and its a female voice. Danm thing is 5mb

if youre on 4.0.4 , you might want to nandroid . also , you just might have to wipe . cyan stated that you probably have to wipe going to 4.1.4 . try it without first . i never wiped going from cupcake to donut, and i am/was fine :)

guys i found the first bug! well to me! i was talking on the fone with a freind for about 10 minutes or so and all of a sudden it stops. i look at my fone and the android boot screen is flashing!


I had a few random reboots also. One when trying to use the browser, locked
up then rebooted, one when swiping through the screens, just hung up and
then rebooted. when the phone was sleeping, some calls came through with the contact info. and sometimes, just the black screen, had to hit menu
twice to see the call. So far just seems random. Only been on it from
this morning so still have to play with it, we'll see.

Benn running the new 4.1.6 for a few hours now, no major issues so far. DxTop doesnt work with it, but meh. Loving the speed so far and the phone reacts nicely when running multiple apps. No phone calls yet so I've not had to deal with slow answering, random crashes ect...yet.

After I found out that might be the problem, I put the widget on any screen

No, I'm asking you to try it now. Just to see if you get the same result.
It's one of the widgets included with the rom. No download needed.
It's the "audio manager" widget, pick large or small should get the same
result. Should take about 30 sec. to test.

I was going to just post this, but then decided to read through all the replies to see if anyone else had this issue.

I get random reboots all the time! Once when trying to wake the phone after it was sleeping. Once while in the middle of typing a text message. Once while a text message was in the process of being sent. And once as I was selecting a contact and pressed the "Call Mobile" button.

if its really bothering you that much , but i think just wait . i bet 4.1.7 will be out today or tomorrow . wipe before you update next update , if youre up to it . i would probably update without a wipe than wipe if the problem comes back :cool:

You can go from a JF without a wipe, but if you have problems you can wipe. You need to get the Cyan 1.4 recovery also, it makes flashing alot easier. Does nandroid backups and restores.

youre on a jf rom , you could try to upgrade without wiping . if it doesnt work , you just need to wipe and reupdate . put the update on the main part of the sd card , rename it update , power off . power on pressing the home and power button , alt+w to wipe(you could try without doing this first) , alt+s to update , reboot . if you bootloop , go back and wipe then reupdate .

yea , i miss the htc cam . i started using snapphoto pro again , though . i have so many damn apps that i forgot i had it ! it has an awesome widget also , take pics straight from the homescreen ! snapphoto really is 100 times better than the htc cam :)
