I just read that Disney "acquired" Marvel for $4 billion, I really hope they don't mess things up for Marvel. I heard that Disney can't do much with them right now until Marvel's current contracts with other companies are up, but after that, I just really hope it doesn't go downhill...

I disagree. Marvel's characters don't have anyone protecting their property like Disney does. That's why the Wolverine movie was sub par. Too many writers adding their "origin myth" to the story and eventually it just gets unmanageable. Same thing happened with Spider Man's "A Brand New Day."
I also think that the movies are generally sub par. Spider Man and Iron Man were done right but look at all the other characters who've had movies that flopped because someone was after a quick buck. Electra, F4, X-Men, Punisher (something like 3 re-launches).
I love my Marvel characters but I don't want to see a Moon Knight movie unless it's done right. I hate it when the studio doesn't understand the heartbeat of the character.
I think Disney will protect them better. Besides it makes sense to me. Disney goes for the pre-teen market and it's Marvel subsidiary goes for the 16-40 year old market. It's a way for them to specialize into protecting their brands.

Well you make a pretty damn good point, I just hope Disney knows how to handle the characters.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarves vs. the X-Men should be an excellent movie. Or Winnie the Pooh vs the Beyonder.
I got nothin, i'm a DC guy.
