recovery terminal backspace?

is there a way to fix the problem in the terminal part of cyanogen's recovery image where instead of deleting the backspace key inserts ^h?

just press the direction up button (to the left of ALT) , then press DEL button. i've figured this out myself, after being stressed out of all my mistakes on terminal. haha
