[Poll] Recovery Cyan's 1.4 or Amon_RA 1.2.1 Which is better & used?

I've been using Cyan's recovery forever but lately I've been hearing that Amon_RA's recovery has more features and makes things a little easier!

1. I want to know what recovery image do you currently use?
2. Honestly speaking, which one do you think is better at the moment?

*Amon_RA's image is based off of Cyan's but has a few extra features like:
# Formatting Fat32, Ext3, and Linux Swap (which could be really convenient for noobs)

This is easy, cyan hands down, I may be wrong but by what the people I helped said, Amon doesn't have gparted included and that's the bar they need to get 2, if they include that with what they have then it'll be better.

This is from amon_ra xda site and it looks like the partionting is auto.

It's there but you can't go into console and customize it, it only format the 3 at preset values.

I know, but that might be easier for the noobs. I still prefer Cyan's.

It's faaaarrrr better for noobs but overall its not better than cyan, gparted is a bigger advantage than what they have to offer, you can even resize partitions and keep your data intact with cyan without having to delete and recreate em all the time.

amon ras looks more featured , if it all works . but , i just dont trust those guys ! cyanogens 1.4 without even having to think about it !

I don't know about that, sometimes we get so wrapped up in a developer we tend to ignore everyone else contributing. I'd stick with Cyan just because you know if there is an issue, he'll be all over it until it begs for mercy, not because I don't trust anyone else. Without trying both, I can't say, but I don't see a need to switch.

Anyways, just to clear things up :

- My recovery was there before cyanogen released one, I based my first version on JF's recovery (just as Cyanogen did). This recovery was used to root the Magic (Roger's magic and the MT3G). After this Cyanogen's recovery was ported and used for the 1 click method.

- There are currently 3 versions, one for the 32A Magic , one for the 32B Magic (his one also works on the Dream), and since yesterday also one for the HERO.

- I included ALL extra binaries and scripts that cyanogen's recovery has!
So please don't talk bs saying that my recovery wouldn't support a certain feature... just use adb instead of a the console and you can use exactly the same scripts (even newer versions as cyans 1.4).

- The only thing my recovery doesn't have is keyboard support and a console. I removed that because I wrote the recovery originally for the Magic (=NO KEYBOARD).

- As of a certain version I decided to switch to cyanogen's source as base because it would simplify things if he makes an update in the future.

-> So the recovery contains the same code as Cyan's PLUS some extras.

i didn't actually know yours was build for the the mytouch. I might have to start recommending it to people who are running keyboardless phones.

No it doesn't, it's not easy to get a virtual keyboard working in recovery mode, and I doubt I will ever manage to do this...

I'M Not Working on Anymore Rom or Cont. Dev. Till I have a G1. I have already Went through 2 MyTouch 3G, & Wife is Pissed Due to Phone is always Off Becuase I'm Flashing Or testing.
