Yep, got it here in the UK. Paid only though, so uninstalled. £10/month is too much.

Yeah, thats about €140 per year! Too steep for me as well..

How many people are actually going to pay the £10 a month for a service where they do not actually get to keep the songs?
I know must people download tracks now, but at least paying for them from Amazon etc means you get them! Spotify is basically paying for a DJ to play the songs you want to hear, but unless you keep paying he will pack up his decks and bugger off!
If you cache the playlists they still take up space on the phone/sd card, so I may as well just put real mp3's on my SD card and listen to the music I love for free!!
I think I will just stick to getting my music the old fashioned way :P

If you download only 2 different albums/month, you've made a saving though... Not sure how broad their collection is though (my tastes can be somewhat obscure), so going to see how it is over a month.

But that is my point.
Let's assume you download 2 albums from iTunes/Amazone etc at a cost of £7 each. If you never pay iTunes etc again, you still have the albums you paid for.
Pay Spotify for a month, cache loads of playlists then cancel your subscription and you loose everything.
Now imagine how you would feel if you subscribe for a year (£120), cache 10,000+ tracks but then have to cancel your subscription. All those tracks are now gone and you have paid £120 with nothing to show for it.
At least with Amazon etc you still have the music you paid for.

I see what you mean, but it's a little like renting a film. And it's good for listening to albums you'd be unsure about buying (recently I've bought a few albums and been unimpressed). Moot point for me anyway, as they only accept credit cards and I binned mine...

That's what the free service is for. Just a shame you can't use the free service on your phone :(

Spotify is amazing.
I can listen to so much different music, instantly. If I want to check out a new artist, i can do that straight away with no obligation, no searching for the downloads, etc.
Spotify remains open on my desktop computer 24/7 - that said, I feel £10/month is quite a lot for the mobile version. If they could bring that down to £5/month I'd certainly consider it.

I've listed to 365 tracks in the last month according to lastfm at itunes that would cost £288.35, i think i'd rather have 3 years of spotify.

I don't think they're making enough on the free version that's why.

'Unbinned' a credit card to try it yesterday. Rather good. To save data hammering, am going to store to offline mode when at a wi-fi connection. 3 albums downloaded, so that'd be about £18 already (if I was to buy through Amazon, Play or 7digital as I normally do).
