View Full Version : export contacts on my mac

New here so hope this the right forum. How can I export my phone contacts from my IMac computer to my My Touch? I did not have them stored on gmail account at start up for some reason. Thank you New user

go into the address book, File > Export

then go into your google account click contacts and import. Easiest way that I know of.

Go to the address file in my mac? Not sure how to do that. Sorry..

open up your address book, at the top next to the apple it says file then export. Make sure all your contacts are highlighted and then click export. Save the vCards to your desktop for easy to find file location.

I see the file but only see eport bookmarks not contacts

you want to export vcard. I am on snow leapord so if you have tiger it might be diff.

I have to log off now, but if you haven't figured it out when I log back on Ill try to help more.

Yeh, I have not got Snow yet. It is on my list this w/e. It is different. It does not show contacts or export or import anywhere. Only bookmark export and inport. Thank you for taking the timre to help me.

once you get your vCards from the mobileme site, you import them to your gmail account.

I found it. Now I have to figure out how to send it to my google site. What a pain..

I have them in my gmail. How do I make them my contacts in gmail. Can I then put them in my touch phone? I tried it and it said the file was to big>
