The hero roms suck, all are experimental and update about every other day, if your looking for a rom in terms of usablity and reliability something that wont freeze up when you slide the keyboard then definitely forget about a hero rom. I started off using Drizzys hero roms then moved to jacheroskis and jachero worked a lot better, But then I decided to can the whole idea of using a hero rom because they just arent reliable. Instead im using the experimental build of cynanogens mod 4.1.11.1 I believe and it is a lot better than any hero roms I have been through...

very easy . wipe and update . you will have to wipe coming from a hero rom to cyans . you can try without , but you most likely will have problems .

I'm actually looking into running a hero rom and I was curious how the multi touch works since the g1 has sloth/slosh whatever its called multi touch.

But more interesting I went into Verizon to buy a 16 gig sd card and I was suprised as Eff to here them say it was a hundred bucks haha. No thank you.

Don't need to do anything . Just wipe and update . If you had apps2sd with a partitioned , you will still have apps2sd .good luck !

well.. this is my story.. i'm a survivor (well, my g1 is)... he went to hell and back lol... i don't know but i didn't find sense that great. Maybe im used to cupcake/donut.. but anyways, i tried modaco 2.2 and it had a 20 secs. lag everytime i was going back to home from any app (even dialer).. sense is nice but is not WOW!!.. idk, if anybody want to try it out u should go ahead, me, im sticking to cyanogens donut for a long time (or until someone bring the blur UI to g1 lol, I'D like to try that out..

I really hope they re release the g1 with a grip load of better specs so running other UI's would be easy as pie performance wise :D

Well Drizzy has a system dump of the Moto Blur and should be porting it to the G1 soon.

And as far going from a Hero rom back to Cyan's or any other cupcake is so easy.
I just use switchrom found in my sig and it stores and restores everything including apps.
So I can go from Hero to Cyan and back again to Hero with 15 mins after the 2 roms are stored on my sd.
Take a look at switchrom, you will wonder how you lived without it!
