I've been trying to keep up to date on all of the new Android devices coming up, but so far, I haven't seen anything US bound that seems to really beat the Hero. As much as I like the Rachel UI, and love the internal storage of the Galaxy, hardware-wise the Hero seems to be at the top of the heap, though I'd love to get more info on the new Touchpro coming out that is supposed to be carrying Android. Is there anything I might have missed, I don't always catch the latest.
Of course, I know its all a matter of opinion...
Ahh, just saw the Engadget Android comparison, I'm very interested in the Cliq. That article answered a lot of questions I had.

...the Engadget Android comparison...

link please? engadget's search feature is crap. thanks.

also, color me disappointed thus far in the upcoming hardware. the tattoo looks nice, but small, restive screen...liked the original hero body style...yada yada...

Bigfoot. That is the only phone i know of that will crush all other Androids currently on the market. Well it is suppose to be produced by Samsung instead of HTC and i am not a huge fam of Samsung which may bery well be a deal breaker for me.

Verizon SHOLES!

Idk about the big foot. Looks like a Frankenstein Android straight out of my 3rd grade book of doodles.

I think it's going to be the Original HERO for me, I missed out on the Discount <-- Ugh!

It's now going on Oct and I still have the same Android device - I just hope to have something NEW by the Holidays

The Hero & Galaxy are running Neck & Neck, give or take - The hero wins out with it running Sense

Sprint is Not my friend and I'd rather have the original Hero - So I'm still stuck

to me it looks no better than the G1 spec wise, i don't need a 5 megapixel camera 3.2 is fine.

I'm sorry to say it, but I've given up on state-of-the-art hardware coming to Android any time soon. The Hero is really nice but lacks a keyboard. And where's the next generation of hardware? I had high hopes for Android and it IS good, but it seems to have kinda settled in as an OS for mid-range smartphones on mid-range hardware. That will no doubt make it a huge commercial success, but I'm looking for more than popularity points.

So I gave in and put up the big bucks to pre-order a Nokia N900. True state-of-the-art hardware and a real, full-blown root-enabled Linux OS. What I really wanted in the first place. Call me a traitor to Android, but...
