Rooted G1 won't load after boot image

Hi everyone, my friend gave me her rooted G1 the other day because it wasn't working correctly.

I turned it on today to try and see what's wrong with it, and basically it will load the T-Mobile G1 logo, then the Ted Hero theme logo...and then the screen blanks (turns black, but is still on) and won't load past that.

I can boot into Cyanogen's recovery image when I press home + end as well as the bootloader screen when I hold camera + end.

I've only tried a few things because honestly I don't know how to fix this, haha...I did a wipe and flashed Cyanogen 4.04 again, as well as repartitioning the sd card but still end up with the blank screen after the boot images.

Can anyone help with this? She said I could keep it if I can fix it! Thanks in advanced for any advice.

try putting in a new formated sd card , wipe and re-update . download a new cyanogen rom 4.1.11.1 is awesome . here you go :) .....

i am having the same problem but for some reason when i take out the sd card right before booting up the phone it works i dont know why though just try booting with out it then putting it back worked for me
