I'm having trouble with Drizzy Blur 1.5.7, whenever I go to download or upgrade an app the market gets stuck on the starting download screen. I tried wiping/re-flashing the rom with no luck, anyone know of any commands in terminal or any idea how to fix this issue?

I'm having the same problem. I just switched apps2sd and loaded Cyanogen's latest recipe and now I ALL apps in the market hang at the "Starting Download" point. I tried fix_permissions in the console but nothing's changed.
Any ideas before I start all over

Just a side note. I get apps all day long on Mobentoo (that psudo-market that Cyanogen bundled w/4.2.5) So it would seem to only apply to the android market. I also noticed that when you run the fix_permissions command I didn't see the Market as one of the programs listed.

Yeah I'm having the same problem. I downloaded a theme that had the latest version of the market and now mine takes hours just to start down loading one app. I tried fix permissions as well...

I tried flashing RA's recovery (through the terminal) and upon reboot got the primary color screen from HTC. So I rebooted into the ROM and reflashed with Cyanogen's 1.4. Reloaded the ROM and still have the same problem. The whole ROM is randomly locking up on me too. Requiring a reboot every time. Do you think it has something to do with the Apps2SD? I gave it a huge partition (3gb ext4) so that could be it as well.
Thoughts?

You don't need nearly that much, 500mb is sufficient. Not sure if that's your problem though.

I reformatted the SD card and set up a meager 512mb ext4 and a 64mb swap and everything works great. So if anyone is having similar issues just cut down your app partition to something that Android can handle. Thanks for everyone's help. I love this community.

Why does this happen?

It seems to be a Market-specific problem with large partitions. It doesn't seem to effect many users though, just those of us who choose not to follow certain wiki articles and then come to AC for help :D.

tried fix_permissions, decreased ext size (now 256m), still got stuck at starting, even after reboot.
the strange thing is, if I wiped the phone and set up the account, the market is ok. but after sometime, maybe several hours or a day, it stuck at starting download.
