Barnes & Noble working on eReader running Android

We can thank the Amazon Kindle for all of the renewed interest in eReaders over the last year. The Kindle wasn't the first eReader, but it certainly grabbed the attention of buyers and commands the majority of the reader market according to analysts.

Get ready for a tsunami of "reader" devices.

What would be cool is if they could somehow create a phone screen that could switch to b/w greyscale "reader" mode

this device was officially announced tuesday. everything i have seen makes it look like a spectacular reader. and i want one. unfortunately there is no employee discount off the 259 price.

also on a side note, being that I work at a b&n we were asked to report customer questions so that anything can be addressed company wide since the product is so new.
I told the manager to ask why there is an iphone barnes and noble app and not an official android app, when their ereader runs off of the android os. so hopefully they will listen and we can get a new book reading app.
