SPotify App in the US?

Hey everyone, a friend in the UK is letting me split the premium membership with her. I was wondering if it is possible to install the Spotify Android application in the US? I know on the iphone, the Spotify app doesn't work on a USA phone due to region settings. If you could let me know, that would be great.... Spotify is one of the reasons I really want to get an Android phone. Let me know, thanks so much!

Hey, would someone mind quickly trying to download the Spotify app in the US and see if u get the login screen? I'm really waiting to see if it works before I get a Hero. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

only one instance of Spotify playing is allowed be it desktop or mobile, so if you start playing and your friend is listening to something it will pause, just get your friend to sign up an premium account for you and you can use it worldwide unrestricted.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I understand that only one person can be playing at a time. I just wanted to make sure the Spotify application works on a US based android phone. The iphone copy only works in selected countries. Thanks again for the help!
