Google Voice Problem ? ish?

Hey!

I have Google Phone, and i use GV to txt... its pretty cool
I told my friend.. friend doesnt have google phone.
Now she singed up and all and didnt like it much.

she deleted her google voice and gmail account..
now if i text here from g1 to her phone.. its fine

if i text her from GV number, it texts back with her GV number.

How can she fix this ?

I've contacted Google Support and a couple of GV boards, but no response..

Is there a way to deactivate it from phone?

what does this mean? does she receive your texts when you text from gvoice? if not, you need to edit your contact info for her and remove the gvoice #. ...or do you mean when she replies it shows her gvoice #? i think this might still be your contacts.

ok so:

If i text her with Messaging (TMobile #) when she replies back it shows has HER TMobile Number.

If I text her from GV Number, when she replies, it sends me a text from HER GV Number.


If she receives a text from a GV number, it replies back with her GV number.
Tho to her it doesnt show. but to the ones receiving.. it shows.


why would anyone delete their gvoice account? gah! why?
If i wouldnt have the GV Application... i dont think I'd be using it either.

ok. i'm stumped. if she's texting from her cell, and when she replies to a non-gvoice text it shows her cell #, i have no idea. maybe a setting on her phone? what kind of phone is it? what happens if you text her deleted gvoice #? i'm overlooking something i bet. argh.

maybe an incoming setting on your phone , or on your google voice . btw dt , i have a sad story . you asked why would anyone delete their google voice account ? well , on the day mine arrive , i noticed my email when i woke up , so i opened and read it . without realizing what it was yet , i accidentally deleted it as spam . even worse , that happened to be the day i deleted all my spam/junk . i still havent got another :(

i think you're right, simms: it's a setting in op's gvoice account. go to the website and change your sms forwarding settings, or...caller id...or something. i wish i could be more definite.

thats wierd.. im a big GMAIL user and I applied a few times and I got it..
however my sis, and dad who dont use gmail as much .. they got it fast too..

when she receives a text from GV# it replies with her GV# (that she cant access).

so anything on the phone?

Problem is that Google still recognizes her number as the mobile # linked to her GV account. Give it some time. Make sure the account is fully deactivated, if not try going into the account and changing the "mobile" number it contacts when someone contacts her GV #.

O wow. I have no clue then. Like some one said, make sure that your phone does not have her GV number saved.

Do you need a working cell phone carrier to send the SMS messages, or does Google send the SMS directly? No one is receiving the SMS messages that I send via Google Voice, so I was wondering if maybe that is the problem. I'm on military duty and my cell phone is deactivated for the time being.
