Is 1.6 Rootable?

See subject. Everything in tutorials and threads I see people were at 1.5 or less as I was, but my friend is at 1.6. So does the same method apply.

If you do the whole downgrade to RC29 thingy and then put a custom ROM on like Cyanogen's, you will have 1.6 along with a few tweaks.

Yeah it works because as MeMongo said you always roll back to an earlier build where the root exploit is available.

stay away from 1 click root if ur going to do this

lol no.. well u kno i was missing for a month..
i was outdated, then today im trying to jump on cyans 4.9999
so i dloaded the htc original image > wiped> flashed, it did the radio update on its own, rebooted ( this is when i should have listened to simms ) i didnt flash 4.999 i just rebooted and well.... i lost root. but NANDROID saves time, i rerooted and just did my my upgrade to jf 1.41 and then installed radio, rec and now im nandroing up back to 4.1.11 lets c what happens

yeh so nandroid backup isnt working that great, phone is out of space... i think i lost the hard slp space i had, im just going to gradually update roms from scratch starting on jf 1.41 then ill do a nandroid, ill also have to do the hard slp just to c, but first a wipe on 1.6 c if that helps... lets c

wow the nandroid i just did even deleted the RA recovery and gave me the old cyan recovery lol
i just wiped.. and will do the hard slp later tonight gotta go, phones clean and working by the way cyan 4.1.11 donut 46mb internal space << need that hard slp <<... hope no 1 skips a step like i did

I did that to my wifes phone thank god for your rooting method!
