google maps and others using GPRS/EdGE

Hi

I've been playing for a week now with my HTC G2 (it's my first pda) and just realized that google maps,gtalk, acurrency, gmail or email and several other apps are not working using the GPRS/EDGE connection on my mobile.
On the other hand the browser and I can connect to whatever webpage I want.

If I'm connected using wifi no problem everything works fine.

I have already reset/reboot/enable/disable APN

Any ideas?

I live in a edge only world and maps work just fine for me. GPRS/EdGE everything works, SLOW but works.

I used edge, maps load quick, surfing web is quick..i dunno what all this "slow" talk is about.

its definitely quicker than my old HTC windows mobile device.

Hi - Did you get this fixed? I am facing similar problems.
