I flashed the new SenseHERO rom on my g1 last night and honestly I loved it. The look and feel was amazing. Problem is (I assume) that the G1 seems to be lacking on the RAM end of things and the rom slows to a near hault in a short time. Now for my question. Can anyone tell me if I can get the HTC Friends Widget from that build and run it on Cyanogens 4.1.9999? I want that widget in the worse way (actually i want allot of the hero widgets :D)!

Any help/info/webpages/walkthroughs/system dumps ect would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

Do you know the name of the actual widget?? is it called HTC Friends Widget?

That's the one. I ripped it out of the rom I have, but it wont install to my G1. not sure if I have to go about it another way or if there is more needed for it to work.

how did you try to install it ? give me the exact spelling of the apk . exact , including capital and lower case letters . lets see if i can get you a script to help

Actually, i just noticed that I ripped out the htccontactwidgets.apk and the HtcContacts.apk. The HTC Friends widget isnt listed. Hmmmm.

most of the proprietary htc widgets are linked in with the rosie/sense ui. Therefore they wont work on a non hero based rom. There is some work being done at xda-dev to reverse engineer these widgets but so far only things like the music widget have been ported.

yep , absolutely right . even if i managed to install them(i havent) , i would need the proper framework for them to work and interact with the phone .
