As some of you already know, this is the HTC Dragon! Now who wouldnt want to move from there G1 or MyTouch to this? Well to bad, b/c this is a Verizon phone! All T-Mobile is getting is the Cliq, Galaxy, and Pulse. Small phones. We need to start tweeting T-Mobile now! We need better android phones! Verizon and Sprint's first android phones are already beating tmobile's phones!

T-mobile USA will loose a huge customer base if they don't at least announce a Release date on a great phone soon.
We were the first to launch Android and the last to get a monster of a phone? WTF!
I'm just assuming that T-mobile is going to drop a bomb on the industry with an AMAZING piece of hardware running 2.0 software before the Holidays. :cool: (I hope that is what they're planning? :confused:)

I have to agree with you. Thing is phone manufacturers are mostly going towards carriers that have substantial network coverage i.e data transfer, hence why you see great, awesome phone going towards Verizon and Sprint. ATT...not so much...they are holding on DEARLY to their precious iPhone! But I thought the HTC Dragon was a T-mobile exclusive? RESEARCH TIME!!

I SECOND that notion! :D but alas we must come back to corporate america's harsh reality..."if your 3G is sucks...your not getting a good phone" -phone manufacturers...*sigh* let us G1 users HOPE that google & htc find a way to srink their beautiful android 2.0 code for us to use!!!

Kind of hard to see that pic, could you make it bigger?
T Mo does need to step up their game, and quick, or I'll do an ETF and switch carriers again. I left Verizon after being with them for 8 years because their phones were subpar, and now comparitively speaking T Mo is sub par. The service is OK but I see things like the video of the new Google Maps and it kills me I can't run it on my phone. Even if it had 2.0 it would be slow.

like tweeting will help? lol it pisses me off completely that t-mobile took a risk with a new operating system and is getting the short end of the stick! its not like t-mobile is a broke company, t-mobile is one of the biggest cell phone companies in the world, but cant get a decent f**ing phone!? really?

tmobile is taking the worse approach towards android and its uses, they want social networking phones and phones targeted towards teens!

well t-mobile has always been targeted towards teens, at least in my eyes. Maybe they are trying to boot the sidekick by getting the cliq. I just want good hardware!

yeah i was thinking that as i was typing but they need a change of plans! or mix it all in! sprint has something for everyone, att has a huge selection of whatever you want, now verizon is doing the same thing

Yea, early termination fee. You're right, Konzern, they seem to be targeting the lower end of the masses for some reason. Maybe the margins are better on the phones targeted at the younger set, because they don't have any that inspire older guys like me to dig into their pockets.

we need a remake of our beloved g1 with atleast 8gigs of internal memory with expandable memory, no more chin, snapdragon processor, wvga screen, full 5 row keyboard

I hate Verizon with an abiding passion. Their "customer service" and billing departments have royally screwed me over multiple times.

But that Droid is NICE. If T-Mo doesn't announce something on par, I might have to switch...

The fact that T-Mo US uses a non-standard frequency for 3G means I can't even import a non-US phones and use them to their fullest.

i had asked them how was it that verizon and sprint have came out with these great android phones, that in my mind i feel are better then what t-mobile is offering, when t mobile was the first to bring us this great os in a phone...i asked how is it t-mobile is being left behind?..i also told them if they realize there loyal android device customers are thinking of jumping ship due to these recent android device coming out on other carriers... and thats all they had to respond with..lol... i know they werent going to tell me what they have planed but somthing alil better then what there response was would of been nice...

Unfortunately, I too am considering paying my ETF and switching if I don't hear something about new tech from Tmo REAL soon.
I love Tmo. They have great customer service, fairly priced plans, and ok phones. BUT, when you feed us tech geeks w/a great new phone like the G1 and the Android OS, you HAVE to keep feeding us...or lose us. We'll (I will anyway) pay full boat for the phone if we're not eligible for an upgrade, but please, just get those of us over the age of 25 something new and awesome like the Droid (better, the Dragon).
I may not go through with it, because I truly abhor the devil that's Verizon, but I'm a nerd, and love the possibility of the Droid.

Both the droid and the eris are pretty decent. Just had 1 hr 2 play with them but my g1 is still the ****, I want a phone with the real kb and a track ball. It is so much easier, but decent phones tho.. good cam quality on both. Ii do prefer the htc cam on the eris over the donut crappy cam app.

Hopefully with this financing option for new handset purchases we will see better phones in 2010... tmobile takes for ever to release a new phone, plus with hspda rolling out in 2010 we def gonna have to wait it out

I am also curious what Google has up its sleeve for their rumored phone, I agree T-Mobile needs to release a 2.0 phone soon. I would love to see something with real internal storage, 1ghz processor and qwerty keyboard soon. I think if google does their phone right could be a game changer, we will just have to wait and see.
