Tmobile is Down Nationwide

Seems like here in Socal Tmobile has effed on on Service, I can't send/recieve calls, when someone calls me they get errors, when I call others they don't answer.
3g still works
But can't text or call.


Seems like my pips with a g1 has this problem, and so does my friend Sean also who has a g1.

Im in Buffalo, NY right now and I'm pissed at T-Mobile. I'm not receiving any calls right now. Sucks Cali is the same way. I'm headin back this weekend.

Apparently, a nationwide voice outage is plaguing some users today. This outage seems to be limited to voice, and for some reason it is causing phones to not be recognized on a network while using T-Mobile’s UMA service. Let’s hope this gets resolved quickly and let’s be thankful that we all still have our data (is it too soon for that joke?). We will keep you updated as we learn more.

yeah - data is dead for me. Lol, I just came here to post "Uh... can't get any data anymore what?" cause I flashed a Hero ROM and went back to Donut. And now.... stuck at logon screen, wooo!!!

data is perfectly fine on my end im tethering as I write this message after all....but come to think of it I have yet to receive a text or phone call in awhile...hmm go figure!

Mine works perfectly... Its only affecting those that are complaining about their G1 battery.

Well mine I can call out on, but cannot receive calls or text. In my house we have 2 g1s, 1 sidekick and 1 blackberry and we are all having issues. I went to T-Mob store and they said the network is down nationwide and they don't know when everyone services will be working correctly.

Great... Tomorrow (or as soon as the service is up for YOU guys), T-mobile will be flooded with calls from customers wanting an explanation for this problem. BUT... T-mobile will give them a bonus 1500 minutes for FREE to blow them off. Which are of no use to the Data dedicated community, because honestly, who the hell still uses all of their minutes?

Dont know if any of you have noticed this but i live in nj and have 3 phones…my g1 is the only one that got hit (the other 2 arent smart phones, just regular crappy phones)…couldnt make calls but now i can as of just an hour but still cant text…could it be just smart phones got hit?????

also the other 2 phones still can send text

In Orange County, CA and NOT been down at all here; data has been fine and voice is fine.

Guys; some perspective.

This is likely the first voice backhaul outage of any length...

Likely either a routing or switching issue - it isn't as some nOOb's say "a computer that needs to be rebooted"... This could also be an issue with the backhaul fiber providers - I would assume within the next day we will get the full answer.

Contrast this to those of us who eons ago were AT&T customers, or had employers try to move us to AT&T where we could never make calls at peak hours (network busy), had to deal with Verizon ALWAYS mis-billing promotion plans - and had to deal with Sprint's idiotic customer care and lack of coverage.... We all forget when it gets bad - but aside from the MS/Danger Sidekick fiasco we've had it good on TMO - you all know it but fail to see it.

For SURE you will likely be able to get a service day credit from TMO if you call customer care when back online - they've never been chintzy on that.

From a 10 year TMO customer - who has tried on occasion Verizon, AT&T and Sprint - AND always comes back...
