Remote desktop besides VNC

I'm looking for a service like logmein.com that supports Android.

I'm technically responsible for about 5 computers that are on a corporate network. I'd prefer a service like logmein so I don't have to root my phone to VPN into the network and then RDP or VNC into it.

If there isn't anything like logmein, has anyone had success in rooting their phone and setting up a VPN? I've googled and found varying information, most of it from 2008. If you've had success with rooting and VPN software, could you please link me to it?

Hello.

I don't know what phone you've got, but Android 1.6 added VPN functionally. I've successfully VPN'd into our work network and connected to terminal server over RDP (I used Remote RDP Demo from the market).

I'm using http://www.crystalballmobile.com (http://www/crystalballmobile.com) for computers behind routers/firewalls. Not so efficient kb/mouse control but it works.
