I just had to do a hard reset on my Dream, and went looking for the apps I subsequently lost. I cannot find Missed Call anymore (not coming up on search in market) - has it changed/been pulled/been replaced?

help!

Clearly I'm not well versed in this yet!

Any thoughts on how to get it onto my phone from web as opposed to marketplace?

I'm so glad you ask.

menu -> settings -> Applications -> check Unknown Sources.

Search in the marketplace for an app called ixMAT Barcode Scanner (or any barcode scanning app that supports scanning QR codes.

once it is download/installed, start the app (click ok) and aim at the QR code. once it reads it, click the "open browser" button and install the app (and other apps you find on an online market).

Thank you! I did that but there are "no matches in the Android market for the search: pname:de.anno.android.missedcall"

I've been looking for a way to do that and havn't found anything yet. However I am at work and "Working", so that makes my searching slower.

Update I did find a Twitter, maybe we can say something here.. I don't have a twitter though.

Missed call just posted on their Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/missed_Call) that some people can't find the app on the Market. They posted this direct link: http://bit.ly/2GYjnp

Currently Rogers has not pushed out the 1.6 update, so everyone with a stock Canadian Dream/Magic is stuck on 1.5, and it seems that Missed Call was updated to specifically check for 1.6.

Rogers's venture into Android, seems to have been an outright failure and they are effectively letting it die off through neglect. Hopefully Telus might treat Hero customers a bit better.

I wonder if we can get a older version, I don't think rogers is going to be changing anytime soon. Also, Don't ever count on Telus, they will always disappoint.

I've emailed the developer a number of times, and he seems to respond pretty quickly.

You could send him an email explaining you're stuck on Android 1.5 because of your network, and hence need an older version. I'm sure he'll send you a link.
