View Full Version : Cannot log in to Facebook from Droid..

It's weird. My brother and I both went out and got the Motorola Droid this morning, and my Facebook account does not work on either one! I'm guessing it has something to do with Facebook, but i'm new to Android & Facebook so I was curious if anyone had any suggestions.. It works fine on my computer, my iPhone, the Droid's browser, but when I try to either do Facebook sync or just log in to the Facebook app it says:

"An error had occurred during the sign in. Please try again later."

I logged in to my girlfriends Facebook and it worked just fine, so i'm a little confused! Haha. Any incite would be great!

You are going to have to play with the phone a bit more since you are probably one of the 10 members with this new device.

What Facebook app does it have?

It has the one that's built into the phone.. haha. It's made by Multiple Facets Inc., not Facebook Inc., but it's the "Official" Facebook App for Android that ships with the Droid. I just don't know if it's something with my Facebook account but I figured I would post here. I went to the Facebook For Android page (http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=74769995908) and I guess a few more people are having the problem. Oh well, guess i'll wait it out! Thanks though!

If can access the market, download the Facebook app for Android and see if it will let you log in.

Yeah, that works. (Android Facebook)

But how do you add the widget? Doesn't it come with the app. New to android but it is definitely sweet. : )

The widget only comes with the pre-installed facebook add.

yea same here, its not logging in, i even tried it via the synch and nothing.. but no worries give it a full day or 2, im loving the gps streetview, verizons 3g is freaking fast, ( my brothers droid)

try the website settings, "mobile" or something, idk i dont use facebook like that

Could you please tell me how you got it work. I got my droid over the weekend and have not been able to log with the standard facebook app that came with the device. My facebook account is new. Is there something we have to do in order to enable it work from a mobile device?

Nevermind. Droid was known to have this issue. It got resolved automagically. :eek:

i got the new lg eve android today and it keeps giving me and error message on fb to try again later... any help?!
