Hi All,

I just got a Droid, pretty happy with it so far. However, I plugged it in to my computer and the "Removable Disk" shows up in Explorer but I can't access it, it says "Please insert a disk into removable disk" when I try to open it. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks!

pull down the notification bar when your droid is plugged into your computer . press on the usb notification , press mount

DOH! That was easy. Thanks. Do you have to do that each time??

Hmmm... not sure why that would be nice, would rather not have to actually. I hate giving props to the iphone, but they have it here to, much less of a PITA, IMO.

I suspect it has something to do with making sure the data on the SD isn't getting mixed up by having the computer and the droid reading/writing/moving/deleting simultaneously.

for example . i have usb tethering . it cant be mounted and tethered at the same time . one or the other can use the usb , not both at the same time .

OK, Just got off the phone with Motorola. I had to drag the usb icon on the phone down. Top left corner. Then a dilaog box comes up to mount the drive. It works now. About 20 min wait. Not native english speaker but he was excellent!

I did find a user manual on the web, I never got one with the phone. And it descibes tapping the usb icon, not dragging thats where I fould up.
Not sure why I didn't see the other posts sloving the issue. Thanks
